For UK charities & CICs

Take donations without the tax on giving.

Cards and Direct Debit, Gift Aid built in, and not a penny of platform fee on what your supporters give. No annual licence either.

Built and looked after by Goodside, the studio behind real charity websites. Your plugin, your Stripe, your money.

The problem

Most donation plugins charge your charity twice.

Once as an annual licence to unlock the features you need, and again as a percentage skimmed off every gift, on top of what the card processor already takes. On a modest year of online giving, that quietly adds up to a volunteer's worth of lost income.

1
The licenceRecurring donations, Gift Aid, Direct Debit: the essentials sit behind a yearly fee, per site, forever.
2
The platform cutA slice of every donation, charged on top of Stripe's own fee. Free tiers are the worst offenders here.

What you get

Everything a UK charity needs to take a gift. Nothing that taxes it.

Built around how charities and CICs actually raise money, not bolted together from a generic e-commerce cart.

Cards & Direct Debit

One-off and monthly gifts by card through Stripe, and regular giving by Direct Debit through GoCardless, which costs you less and never expires.

Gift Aid, done properly

A compliant declaration on the form, and a one-click export that matches HMRC's claim spreadsheet. Reclaim 25% without the spreadsheet archaeology.

You own it, fully

Your Stripe account, your data, your site. It is an open plugin, not a walled platform. Nobody can hold your donation history hostage.

Funds & reporting

Let donors choose where a gift goes, then see totals by fund, recurring income per month, and a clean CSV for your accounts.

Made for CICs too

Not every good cause is a registered charity. Gift Aid stays off for CICs by default, so you never invite a declaration you cannot claim.

Set up in a day

Three forms, a suggested amount, receipts and monthly-failure alerts, all configured. We switch it on; you start taking gifts.

Card details never touch your website

Every payment runs on Stripe's and GoCardless's own secure pages, so your site holds no card or bank numbers. The light-touch compliance path, without you lifting a finger.

How it works

We do the fiddly part. You take the gifts.

1

A short call

We learn how you raise money now, which funds you run, and whether you are a charity or a CIC. Twenty minutes, no obligation.

2

We set it up

We install Collection Tin, connect your Stripe and GoCardless, build your forms, configure Gift Aid if you are eligible, and test it end to end.

3

You go live

Donations land in your account, receipts go out, and you get a monthly view of what came in and where it was headed. We stay on to look after it.

Pricing

Pay once to set it up. Nothing on what you raise.

You pay for the setup, and if you would like us to look after it, a monthly care plan. That is the whole cost.

£0 on every donation.
£0 annual licence. Always.
The only ongoing cost is the card or Direct Debit fee you would pay Stripe or GoCardless anyway. We never take a cut.

On your existing site

from £795

We add Collection Tin to your current WordPress site, connect your payments, build your forms and, if you are moving off another tool, carry your donation history across and redirect the old links.

A site taking money should be watched. On a care plan we keep it updated and secure and catch the quiet failures that stop a form working. Optional, and no contract.

Who builds it

By Goodside, the studio that looks after charity websites.

Collection Tin is not a faceless download. It is built and supported by Goodside, a UK studio that designs and maintains websites for charities and community organisations, and holds them to WCAG 2.2 AA with tested evidence.

Because we look after the sites it runs on, every install is watched: updates, security and the quiet failures that stop a donation form working are our job, not yours.

Questions

The things charities ask us

What does it cost?

There is no annual licence and no platform fee on donations, so the ongoing cost is simply the card or Direct Debit fees you pay Stripe or GoCardless, which every method charges. Setting it up is a one-off, and we look after it on a monthly care plan alongside your website. A short call is the honest way to get a figure for your situation, because it depends on what you already have.

We are a CIC, not a registered charity. Can we use it?

Yes. Collection Tin is built for charities and CICs alike. Gift Aid is only lawful for HMRC-recognised charities, so for a CIC we simply leave it switched off, and your donation forms work exactly as they should without it.

Do you take a cut of our donations?

No. Not a penny. Gifts go straight from your supporter to your own Stripe or GoCardless account. We never sit in the middle of the money.

What about Gift Aid?

For registered charities, the form captures a compliant declaration with the donor's details, and the admin gives you a one-click export in the exact column layout of HMRC's Gift Aid schedule spreadsheet. You paste it into your claim and reclaim 25%.

Is it secure? Where do card details go?

Card and bank details never touch your website. Payments are taken on Stripe's and GoCardless's own hosted pages, which keeps your site on the lightest compliance footing. The plugin itself has been security-audited, and because we host and maintain it, updates and monitoring are handled for you.

What if we already have a website?

That is the usual case. We add Collection Tin to your existing WordPress site and, where you are moving off another donation tool, we help carry across what matters and redirect the old links so nothing breaks. The call is the place to talk through your setup.

Keep more of every gift.
